The summer seems to have gone really fast and we are now looking at Autumn but not a bad day at all yesterday weather wise. There were stands to suit everyone, easy and hard ones and some good scores were put in. Please be careful where bits of clays are concerned, we had a nasty cut finger during the afternoon. Hats are good in case a bit hits you on the head and glasses if you wish as well. Wind direction can change during the morning and clays that were going in one direction when the trap was set up can head in a different one later on. The children that came were their usual well behaved selves, even when Mum and Dad were out on the ground and the children were in the cabin. Well done and thanks again for picking up the unbroken clays for us. We were asked recently to support a charity raffle with a voucher enabling one person to shoot which we did donate. Why not ask for one for your Birthday or some other celebration. It beats, socks, scarves and gloves for you men any day. The presentation of the John Midgley trophy is at the second shoot in October. This is for the most improved average and it is fun for me watching changes. A couple of years ago it changed with the very last shoot when a fantastic score was put in lifting his average 0.1 over his rival to win.
It will also be the Trafalgar shoot. See you next shoot.
